What similarities? Hat tip: http://personallitmus.blogspot.com
I came across two interesting questions while reading today.
- Do you believe that it is moral and just for one person to be forcibly used to serve the purposes of another?
- And, if that person does not peaceably submit to being so used, do you believe that there should be the initiation of some kind of force against him?
I can easily answer both a big fat NO! I am curious what kind of answer you would get from most liberals. Our President keeps telling us we need to sacrifice more of what we have. This of course, is only focused on those of us who are already paying most of the taxes. Nothing is asked of those we are sacrificing for.
This leads me to a quote from Ayn Rand, “It only stands to reason that where there’s sacrifice, there’s someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there’s service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master.”
I think it is easy to realize who wants to be the master. It is getting so tiresome to be told this is the new era of responsibility when the government does nothing but save businesses and individuals from their irresponsible choices, costing us a great deal of money and freedom.
